From what I've heard, there seem to be a lot of job opportunities for those who major in marketing, however, I am unsure as to what specific jobs one can have after graduating. What specific jobs can marketing majors get?

Reply:Ideal jobs for marketing graduates are marketing reseacher/analyst kind of positions at marketing heavy-weights such as Proctor %26amp; Gamble, Nike, etc. But these companies only interview students that are in top 10% of the class. Bottom 20% usually end up at nearby shopping malls working as store clerks at The GAP, Banana Republic, Sears, etc., making only slightly higher salary than high school graduates.
Reply:There are other options besides working with a major company in brand/marketing. There are many small companies that don't require an mba or top 10%. There are also positions on the service side of marketing research such as Nielsen, IRI, and other market research houses. Good luck - it's a great field to be in.
