I live in London and Im 14. I'd like a job - any time and have read up on emplyment regulations. I know all that stuff what kind of jobs etc etc. Ive done little babysititng but Im quite short so its mainly only family friends.
Where can i go to look for actual JOBS. Like a webiste liek the american equivilent teens4hire, there you sign up and then you look for jobs in your area. Stuff Like that.
Teen Jobs.?
ask round the local places. Thats what people i know do
Reply:at 14 the only way you can get into employment is to get a family member to put in a good word OR give a CV to shops and places like that
Reply:try to do your own business, selling and buying stuff, that would help.
I remember that i use to sell lemonade and things like that.
I hope this helps you ;)

What are some jobs that Jerry Spinelli had? Do you consider any of these unusual? Did any influence his work?
I am currently doing research on authors - Jerry Spinelli being one of them. I would like to know some jobs Jerry Spinelli previously had, opinions on any job or jobs being unusual, and opinions on how or why you think some job or jobs may or may not have influence Jerry Spinelli's work. Any answers are greatly appreciated. I have a deadline on Monday, December 8, 2007, so please answer as soon as possible. I would also like some resources on Jerry Spinelli.

Try this. You may find it very very helpful for your research on the author:
Reply:I had a chance to meet him and have him autograph my copy of Star Girl.
He started writing at a very early age (still in high school). I don't know much about his previous jobs (I know he wanted to be a baseball player and a cowboy when he was younger). Much of the info he got from his own children, his wife (a children's book author), and everyday experiences.
Good luck!

IT jobs %26gt; where to start?
why not to try the http://www.monster.com
Reply:Start by taking a Java programming course, or a full diploma program.
Then, after your complete the course(s), look in the Yellow Pages and the local newspapers, there should be lots of ads, unless you live outside an urban area. Your school may also be able to help.

Boring jobs / exciting jobs?
At first I wanted to be a computer engineer since I was pretty handy with computers, but after watching "office space" and taking a webpage design classes, I'm having second thoughts. Compared to other jobs, like a firefighter, doctor or pilot, I feel like working with computers all day can be very boring.
What are some fun exciting jobs and what are some boring jobs?
Boring jobs / exciting jobs?
It might be a good idea for you to find out what your personality type is and what your preferred work environment is before you decide about what an exciting or boring job is.
Reply:i brought home about 75,000 last year. about 30,000 was overtime. we get paid holiday, vacation time, sick time and thrift savings plan, pretty good health insurance, and a nice retirement..........but the job sucks. you have to work every holiday, you have to work the weekends in the plant and you have to get doctors statements for pretty much everything. even if you go pee too much. i work for the usps.
Reply:let me just say there are many different types of jobs that are fun to different people such as police may be fun to one person but dangerous or boring to another
Reply:i love my job, broadcast engineer. You can get all types of jobs like running camera for sporting events all over the country, or technical director for a news station. And it still deals with technical stuff and computers so you would have some experience.

What jobs can i try out and succeed in getting when i don't have alot of experience and am not very OUtgoing?
I don't have much experience with anything, and i'm not a very smart person even if i went to university. I'm slow, bad at speaking and not a people person. But i'm soon to be dead or homeless if i don't find anything. I've filled applications here and there and no results , not even an interview in about 4 months now. What do i have to do to get a job in 1 week or less? i'm tired of being unemployed and having no money. I have plenty of knowledge, computer experience, and i'm bilingual but dono't have experience doing jobs with thoseskills and i speak but i speak slow and i don't have a vibrant personality and from what i've experienced in the temp jobs i've had, companies like outgoing...LOUD/PARTY TYPE/SOCIAL people,. . I'm so ready to work, i have all this desire to work, but just because i'm not very talkative nobody's gonna hire me? i guess just go to the street with a sign "WILL WoRK FOR FOOD"?
-i don't have good knee or ear health either, so what jobs could i try?
What jobs can i try out and succeed in getting when i don't have alot of experience and am not very OUtgoing?
you're right a lot of companies need someone with social skills. it seems that's what you're lacking. you don't have to be really outgoing to land a job. you just need to be sociable to find one. with the way you described yourself, i'm not sure if you have a mild MR or something. see a counselor to help you with your social skills. you didn't say what kind of knowledge and skills you have with computers. is it programming? engineering? if you've been doing temp jobs, you should look for temp jobs that have something to do with computers so you can gain experience.
also, get your resume checked out to see if it's working for you. when you go to your interview, make sure you look professional and clean. smile and be enthusiastic about the job. and be punctual.

Reply:Try a program like Americorps if there is one in your area
Reply:You could look into positions where you basically work alone like a janitoral position. I'm not making fun of that type of positon, I was once one and actually really enjoyed working by myself....you can also call manpower and see about a warehouse position...there are plenty of things out there that you can do...apply at wal-mart to be a stocker...you have such a low image of yourself and I find that to be sad. Have you tried applying at mcdonalds or a restraunt? You can do this..their out there...maybe apply at a library...all of this is temporary work until you find what you love and YOU are very capable of going back to school....your smarter than you think...
