Hello, I am an reliable, serious, fourteen year old girl who is looking for a saterday job, and i can also work for a couple of hours after school as well. i dont mind if its a pay job or volunteeraly. Please contact me if you can help. I live in Glasgow scotland.
If anyone can't offer me a job can you please leave me some information about diffrent jobs i can do at my age?
Thankyou
Any jobs for a 14 year old girl?
When I was 14 I had a job selling shoes on a market stall. Baby sitting, paper round? I also had a tea round on the market. My mate cleaned the local garage forecourt on a Sunday. Local riding stables take on young 'uns who are interested but this work is often unpaid as you are paid in riding time/lessons. Hope this has given you a few ideas. Sorry I can't help you more but I don't live in Glasgow.
Reply:you can do a paper round, deliver milk on a milk round, baby sit, carnt think of any more, good luck though its nice to see a 14 year old wanting to work,
Reply:Hi. I am way down south in Sussex and my children are all grown up now, but my youngest daughter (when she was your age) earned a reasonable amount of money at a Saturday job in a local bakers. I used to drive her there at 6am and she finished at midday. She also worked an hour after school at a local vet, and for a while she had a newspaper round. I know none of these jobs sound very exciting! But very good luck to you. Bless you for wanting to work. (Also, check out the local papers) (and have just remembered that two local girls of your age have been putting cards through doors, saying that they can offer babysitting, gardening, housework, etc).
Reply:if you have any new housing developments, go to them and see if you can hold a sign on a corner. i don't even know if they have sign holders in scotland, but they might.
Reply:I'm 15 and i'm hoping to get a job in a local petrol station soon. Any small businesses like petrol stations, cafes etc will more than likely give you a job. Just go in and ask.
Reply:you can get a job at sonic my sis is 14 and she's going to work they re
Reply:heres a list
babysitting newpaper route mowing grass or garden work surely you have friends ask them what they are going to do for the summer start asking the best way to find something is by word of mouth
Reply:Hi my daughter is nearly 14 and she has a Saturday job in a hairdressers. It's not very exciting - she makes tea, sweeps the floor, cleans the sink etc. - but it gives her some independence and her own money. She found it by going through the yellow pages and ringing all the hairdressers she could find!! You could also try local newsagents, fish and chip shops......basically smaller businesses that are more likely to take on someone of your age.
No doubt you have thought of the obvious ones like babysitting and gardening! If not, they might be worth a go.
Also do you have a Connexions advisor in school? (We do in England but not sure if Scotland do.) They can help as they have a huge database of jobs available and can advise on hours you are allowed to work. Good on you for wanting to earn your own money and good luck finding something xxxxx
