Is it better to stick to one perm job? Or take up a few part time jobs and get the bigger $$$
Perm jobs can be quite stressful and demanding.
One job pays $1600 to $1700 but a few part time jobs adds up to more than $2000 a month.?
Few part time jobs will not only improve your skills but keep you from getting bored at work and be more varied and versatile, so go for the part time ones and hey, your always making more money there aint you?
Good luck!
Reply:Perm jobs typically offer benefits, a retirement savings plan, and maybe life insurance. They also offer career advancement and look much better on a resume. Temp or part time jobs just allow for you to pay the bills. Perm jobs show that you are stable and reliable.
Also consider this. If you take a couple of temp jobs, one employer doesn't care one bit about the other of your employers. If one employer asks you to put in over time and you say "I can't because I have another job to go to", you will lose the first job because the boss don't want to hear that. Now your $2000 a week has just dropped down to $1000 or less.
Reply:In a permanent job you'll get a benefits package etc. In part time or casual contract work you'll get diddly-squit.
Also, multiple part-time jobs will be stressful as your in different environments.
You'll also need to be careful with contracts. Many workplaces are writing a conflict of interest into their contratcs (part and full time) where-by your bound to work for only one company.
Reply:Stick to 1 full time job. It makes you eligable for benefits and is alot easier when it comes to tax time. You will probably get hosed with more taxes the more jobs you have.
