Reply:Sorry, but this qustion is asked almost everyday!

Japan does not have an open policy when it comes to people moving there. In most situations you can't. They do NOT allow anyone to just move there.

Unless you have a special skill a Japanese does'nt have, the chances of getting a job are slim to none. Most jobs will require that you read, write and speak Japanese at a native level. Few Americans can do this. Be aware most Japanese don't speak English.

Most Americans there teach English. You need a four year degree to do this. This is no-longer the dream job it used to be. There are more teachers than jobs. And schools like NOVA are about to go out of business.

You need a work visa to work in Japan. To get a work visa you need a solid job offer before you enter the country.

Housing is very costly. Most apartments are super small compared to American. Many landlords will not rent to a non-Japanese. They don't want to deal with any of the problems it may cause.

Sorry, but what you're talking about is no simple matter.

You can always go there for a visit. A tourist visa is good for 90 days.
Reply:It is very difficult for foreigners to get jobs in Japan. A friend of mine met a friend from Japan at college, and his friend offered to let my friend live with them and spend the summer there. My friend thought he would get a summer job there, but they can't hire you unless they can prove no Japanese person can be found to do the job (the EU is pretty much the same way). He did end up finding a job, at the Russian Embassy. They wanted someone to teach them English. Because technically the Russian Embassy is Russian soil, the Japanese labor laws didn't apply there.
Reply:They don't want foreigners there. Find a job where you are instead.

Reply:The best way to get a job in japan is to get a job wherever you are that has a location in Japan and doing an interoffice transfer. Getting a job directly over in Japan is EXTREMELY difficult!

Goodluck!
