I live in Ponca City and would do anything (almost anything) to get hooked up in Tulsa with a job that pays at least par to what I'm making now. I've been in Safety for about 3 years and have a degree, but I cannot as much as get a phone call back from any jobs open in Tulsa....and I want to live there. Can anyone fill me in on the secret to why there are not many good jobs open in Tulsa or what I can do to get there?
Jobs in Tulsa OK?
I live in Tulsa, but will work anywhere.
Tulsa got hit hard in the IT (computer) world around 2002-2004 and most of us are now either doing other noncomputer work or doing less than then.
I myself am making 1/5 overall of what I made 3 years ago.
Jobs are available, but not neccessarily what you may want.
My own previous work is difficult to break back in...partially due to being out of the field for 3 years.
Reply:I agree with pcreamer... Tulsa is either highly specialized work(doctors, lawyers, etc)... or blue collar. The only other option is sales or telemarketing. Report It

Reply:You should just keep sending out your resume. You should let everyone you know that you are looking for a job as well. They could be a good avenue as well. Many companies is Tulsa use internet based job searches but there are still quite a few that do not. Maybe you should also try getting phone #'s out of the book or internet and call up some companies and fax them your resume as well.
