Easy jobs?

I need to start considering a job within the next few months. I plan on moving in with my boyfriend, probably within 5 months. I'm 17 now, going to be 18 this May.

I'd like to know some pretty easy jobs that I could do. I know, no job is all that easy, I'm just saying that I'd like a job that isn't too stressful.

I was thinking waitressing, most likely. If you're a waitress or have waitressed, what do you have to do and would you recommend the occupation?

Easy jobs?
waiting on tables is HARD work, not for someone who really doesn't want to work. you sound a bit lazy to me. If you are going out on your own you need a GOOD paying job so that you can support yourself, NOT have your boy friend support you. when you get with someone you become a team, and if you expect Him to keep you, Hah! he won't be your boyfriend for long.
Reply:I have never waitressed before but those I have talked to say it is very stressful and fast-paced, not a good option if you are aiming for minimal stress. Do not say easy when you are out looking. Inquire about jobs that may be a bit challenging but are not too stressful.

I would consider maybe store clerk or a small store close to home. Some small businesses may have decent receptionist jobs where you just answer a phone and greet clients all day. Extremely laid back. Hey, even working as a security guard is really easy and definitely not stressful.

Just as a side note; and please forgive me for lecturing but this has to be said, I would strongly advise against moving in with your boyfriend. You need to be out on your own and enjoying life, not shacking up with a guy. If you break up what will happen to you? I have been there, done that and seen it from friends around that age. It does not end pretty. Please be smart and reconsider this.

Above all else, best of luck!
Reply:My sister was a waitress and she hated it. I guess it was the business though. The management was screwy and she worked a heck of a lot more than anyone else. Sometimes, she would be the only waitress on the floor for an entire day with only a 2 hour break, but even then she was working! Make sure if you do that you don't get screwed like that. Other than that part, she made more money then than she is now at a full time job at a mall center desk.

Oh, make sure you wear comfy shoes and pants/shirts you don't mind getting dirty.
