Jobs for 14 year olds??

What kinds of jobs, besides babysitting, could a 14 year old get? I need a job that pays decently, and has good hours. PLEASE i need help. I know people have told me once i start working i will never stop, but my parents said they aren't going to buy me anything anymore. Like no new clothes or anything. Just food and a roof over my head. Idk if i want to get a job at a grocery store, because if one of my classmates came and saw me, that would be pretty emabarrassing, but it it pays good enough, call me stocker girl. Please give me some ideas and tips so that I can start calling around.

At the age of 14, you can work in small shops, cafes (cleaning tables and things) you can do any job aslong as it doesn't put you in danger eg: in the kitchen also you cant work with money eg:banks, on a till. At 14, they have to pay you the lowist pay, where i live is about £4:00. I had a job in 'subway'. Was embrassing when people i knew come in, but at the end of the day..It showed i was growing up and i was the one who had money to buy nice new things not them! Go for it, ask around in your local shops, hairdressers, cafe, farm maybe, anywhere you like. Good Luck xx
Reply:well i'm 14 also, and im looking for a job 2...my school gave me a packet full of jobs, i dont kno what city u stay n 2 give u any ideas but all i can tell u iz 2: go 2 local alderman office maybe and see do they have any jobs that are still avaliable and if so all u need iz probably a resu'me and a workers permit.
Reply:It is illegal to work under 16 in some states. Did you and your parents have a fight? If not, ask them if you can do work around the house for some kind of allowance.
Reply:allot of places wont hire you until you are 15. try some smaller businesses if it is more of a family organization they might want to help you and your friends are less likely to see you. my husband worked at a plant nursery for a wile when he was very young it pays very well.
Reply:well you could mow lawns, clean houses, walk dogs, wash dogs, wash cars....lots of stuff! Thats the kinda stuff i do when i need cash, charge fair prices and you'll get more bis.
Reply:Depending on the city you live in you can try to look for jobs, but around my area you have to be 15 at the youngest to legally work, and that's just at a few sections in an amusemant park. go see your counselor.
