I mean, I've loved jobs in the past, even now the job I have I love. But I either hate my boss, or my co-workers, or the clients, or the policy, or messing up and doing stupid things/making mistakes, or a combination of everything. I mean, do I keep finding impossible jobs or is there some special thing I don't know about? I love this job but I know I'm balancing on thin ice right now. This will be job 104 for me in 22 years. Am I just built to not hold a job???
How do people hold jobs for a long time?
I am still trying to find that job and I am 47 now! I think the years of staying with one company 20 plus years are gone now.
Reply:I think they just become totally complacent/comfortable. Or they are what I call "worker bees"...they show up at 8 on the dot and leave right on the dot at 5. They do their job, they don't complain, they don't socialize, they aren't engaging and they don't really care. No way to live in my opinion. Or, somehow they get totally lost in the shuffle and continue to get pay raises and/or promotions and so why would they ever want to leave? Personally I have a 3 1/2 year itch and then I've got to go!
Reply:It takes patience, tenacity, tough skin and a strong desire to retire early. My first job was for 10 years. The next for 25. Retired with a million bucks at age 52.

Reply:IF you've had that many jobs you need to look at what you're doing. Maybe you should find a therapist who deals with jobs and job related issues. And sit down and find out what's causing you to be so unhappy with the various jobs that you've had. Maybe you've not really found what you were meant to do what ever you're life's passion is. You may also feel like you're not using your education to it's fullest. It's never to late to figure out what's wrong.
Reply:You need to be more patient-with other people and more diplomatic. In other words, force yourself to get along w/ all the people you have to work with. Most people dislike some factor of their gig-but in this day in age-length of employment is important, to show stability.
Reply:what are your habbits? you have to become sharp and on point with whatever it is you do.
Reply:No prob, just look in the want ads under "perfect job" and see how many you find. Maybe you should start your own business.
Reply:Maybe you are looking for a way to hate the jobs instead of looking for a way to like them ?
Reply:I love the job that I do any work with a great bunch of people. I work in a pharmacy at a hospital and we all work well together as a group. It is like an extended family. We pull together in times of a family emergency such as a death or an extended illness or we just lend support to one another if we know someone need encouragement.!!
Hope this helps. Jane
