Two Jobs Better Then One?

I need some input. I have the chance to take two jobs at around 30000 a year, and a second at around 35000 a year or take one for 47500 a year.

he two jobs would bring greater income as i wouldnt loose as much on take out of the pay check where each are below a tax bracket. The two jobs dont interfere with each other . well maybe some but the other jobs willing to allow it.

the second isnt a 9/5 its an on road tech support guy for the area

Two Jobs Better Then One?
You are going to have to decide this one for yourself based on what you want. We can help you with lists of pros and cons, but you need to decide what is best for you.

Two jobs:

PROS:

-More income

-Better jobs???? (you need to decide if this fits or not)

-Better benefits????

CONS:

-Less available hours to spend the additional Money.

-More taxes due. Just because they withhold less doesn't mean you won't still owe in the higher tax bracket. If they withhold too little, you may end up with a payment due to uncle Sam in April.

One job:

PROS:

-More free time

-Consistent hours (sounded from your description that the one job is 9/5)

-Less taxes due.

-Better Job????

-Better Benefits????

CONS:

-Less Money to use in the added free time

I recently changed positions and received 2 offers. One job that was $25,000 annually more than the other. However, the job was boring, tedious, minimally useful had very little room for growth, and the benefits were not as good. Meanwhile the lower paying job offered better benefits, bonuses, regular raises, willingness to train in new areas, and most importantly and vital role in a fast growing company with lots of growth potential. I think you can guess which one I accepted.

So you have to weigh all the options. When I was interviewing, I kept saying if the higher job makes an offer I'm grabbing it, then this other offer came in and it was a real debate. But I'm happier where I am.
