Job searching, what types of jobs am I qualified for?

I just graduated from college and earned a bachelors of arts in sociology and I was wondering what types of careers am I skilled to apply for? Also, it seems like there arn't that many jobs for college graduates that don't require you to have more than 3 years of experience. I am finding it hard to find a job where you don't need experience for other than sales positions which is not something that I would be interested in. I am wondering where to look for jobs other than hotjobs and monster. Where did you guys find your careers from and did you have a hard time deciding what you were qualified for?

I am sorry to say but Sociology was kind of a useless degree. You need a masters in that do anything and usually research. you can work for child protective services as a case worker or group home kind of thing. There is no job that says you need to have sociology degree

Reply:my boyfriend graduated last may with an busn/econ degree and has had a lot of trouble findin a job as well. Honestly I think that hotjobs/monster are all BullShit. Half of them are scams and people on the other end never even look at them. Try Craigslist I've had some luck there. Also I would say try to do an internship this will give you a good refrence and some extrat experience. If you are interested I would try to get into social work, and work your way up. Its tough. I am finishing up my associates degree and deciding wheter to continue and spend the money for a bachelors because everyone i talk to struggles to find a job when they graduate... goodluck on your search!
