Jobs for Uni students in Canada?

Hi, I'm planning to go to Vancouver this summer %26amp; find a summer job there. Does anybody know how hard it is to find a temporary job there? Is it better to look for jobs on the Internet before I arrive or after? I would like to work as a receptionist, an assistant or in an office - do you think it's possible? I'm an Uni student, from Europe and fluent in 3 languages including English. Do you think I have the qualities to get a better (paid) job than let's say washing dishes? It's gonna be my first time to work alone abroad so I'm a little scared :-) Thanks
