I will be 14 in october but i need a job right now. What types of jobs would be good for me? How would i be able to find a job like this? How should i appear when applying for a job like this? Do you have any tips for applying for a job? Do you know of any job openings in Mason, OH?
What are suitable jobs for a 13 year old and how would i be able to find one?

Reply:you can babysit, or even do yard work for people. Let people in your church know you are looking for work, and maybe they will have odd jobs for you to do, or even more. You could ask at your grocery store to put a notice, but be very careful when answering these people who call you, you might have your parents go with you, to see if they are good people.--good luck!
Reply:I think you might be too young to get a real job. I don't know of any places that hire at 13. You can try putting out flyers offering your help - mowing the lawn, babysitting etc.
Reply:Well i live in MA, however i do know that babysitting is a great job. Put in ad in a newspaper suggesting your availabilites, and make sure you check the person out before jumping in. If you don't like kids, try housekeeping, like mopping, washing dishes..things people don't have time for. Offer affordable hours, and dollar per hour, like 7 or 8, because even if they higher you for an hour, at least you're 8 dollars richer.
Reply:yes.news paper sell. when u turn 14 baby sit.act like u 15
Reply:well your age interferes with child labor laws, so whatever job you get, it will have to be paying you through personal checks.
my advice?
1. ask if any of your parents' friends have tasks to be done around their homes.
2. babysit (i did this at ur age)
3. if your parents allow you to, post flyers around your housing area listing the type of chores you can do for them (ex: mowing lawns, cleaning back yards, organizing garages)
Reply:you could babysit. i don't think you can get an actual job considering the child labor laws.
Reply:You could also deliver newspapers - if you have a bike or transportation. Check your local nespaper for routes that may be open in your area.
