Jobs Problem (please respond with wisdom)?

Hey guys I am really down and out, I can't find a job that ever works for me. I just got fired from my job tonight at as a late night grocery stocker which was terribly fast paced anyway and I wanted to quit so bad. I've been through a lot of jobs but I can't seem to find the one that works for me. I've been a telemarketer (too much stress and preassure to sell), worked in factories and grocery stores (too fast paced), done data entry typing (which was good but I'm moving to Toronto soon and apparently you need to know keystroke 1-10 which i don't), fast food and nursing home food prep (hated both and moved on) and a few non-sales positions which were nice, I would call buisnesses and ask if they used credit cards then asked if they take american experss and hang up, easy. I liked that position a lot. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should take up that would fit into a person like me. I don' have a liscesnce, want to be alone, and don't care if the job is repedaive/but slow!

Jobs Problem (please respond with wisdom)?
James,

You are very honest,

and clearly state what

you like and do not like.

Most wouldn't.

You are half way there

simply by knowing what

you don't and do like,

so now, do some soul

searching, and figure

out why they let you go

from the jobs you liked.

Once you figure that,

improve, and make

an effort, so it does

not happen again.

Is keystroke 1-10

very difficult to learn?

Sounds that could be

the answer.

Try, and don't

give up.

Good luck!
Reply:night auditor at a hotel or a janitor somewhere
Reply:ehe find out what you like then go for it. you can't change jobs like switching a tv chanel hehe otherwise you gonna be broke like me soon.
Reply:pick a job - and stick with it.

do not quit on the first wrong event.

you do not seem to have a realiable record on staying on a job.

pick a job you can do, and stick with it.
Reply:I'll answer your question as if it were a real cry for help.

Abert Einstein almost failed school. Thomas Edison was considered lazy in his youth. George Washington Carver ( a slave) was too sickley to work as a youngster. they had one thing in common, that you don't express in your question. They wanted knowledge, sounds like you want easy money. So, going to school to learn a trade seems to be out. You need to forget Canada, or anywhere that get's cold. It takes money to stay warm, unless you live in the far south. You could be a beach comer, nice easy paced work. If you know how to swim, life guard. Car sales takes no effort to know anything of value, just an easy way of talking, and standing around looking bored. There are tales that beggars can make 50 to 60 thousand a year. So you have lots of choices, oh yes, stay in the States and get on welfare.Good Luck for the future.
Reply:Since you seemed to have liked data entry typing, I would suggest that you take the time to either learn 1-10 keystroke on your own (buy a typing program that includes it) or take a class that teaches typing with that format. You already know you can type so adding a few more keys shouldn't be all that difficult. It's less work than learning a completely new job and there are enough data entry positions around that you shouldn't have a problem finding one in Toronto.
Reply:Ever look into the military? I joined after I quit (almost fired) from my night grocery stocker job. Good chance for you to recieve free education, training, and insurance. I would highly recommend it especially if you are single.
Reply:maybe you should go back to school and get a better education in a area that you would enjoy working in.
Reply:I'd suggest real estate. It's worth your time to get your license, and anyone can do it. You have to be on the ball, but it's really not a high pressure job if you're self employed or working for the right company. There is always good money in real estate. You don't even have to be that good of a salesman, but it couldn't hut if you are.
Reply:wow your really lazy

just do what you gotta do
Reply:maybe you could be a secret shopper or a security guard at a retail store....or you could be an overnight sleeper at a group/nursing home!
Reply:You would do perfectly as a night stocker at a place like Target or WalMart. My son likes to be alone when he works,he took a job as a desk clerk at a hotel, midnight shift. Look into something like that.
Reply:you need to be a night auditor at a hotel or motel. you go in at 10 or 11 pm at nite. then check guests in. you spend the night there---get off at 7 or 8 in the morning. go home and sleep the day away!

little or no stress! if no guests---you watch tv.

you may have to fold the occasional towel---but being a night auditor seems right up your alley!

i used to work with a gal who worked her way through college doing the night auditor stuff. she would stay up all night at the hotel and do her homework--when she got off work she'd go to class--then go home and crash.

i'd go for it!
Reply:It sounds like you want a job where you don't actually have to do anything. I suggest applying for government jobs.
Reply:Sounds like you need government work. Slow and easy, generally far from whiny hard-working taxpayers who are under the delusion they are supposed to get value for their tax dollars, and great job security.
Reply:Much of the time... when one wants something really bad, the person will subconciously bring it about. Maybe, your job for the moment is finding out who you are and where you want to go. Perhaps, one day or days, you will come to find your truest job is to bring Love where Love seems not to be. All esle is just bringing comfort or non-comfort to your presence of being.

cable installer...they never move quick

paintball field chrono ref,,,again people that never move fast.
Reply:get your licence and become a cleaner there are lots of different types and you would be suprised at the rate of pay!good luck!
Reply:Connect with a Temp Agency; see if they have aptitude tests.

Find out what you are suited to, and go look for work in that field.

A license would be helpful, but something on a busline could work out.

Take some classes during off-work hours and improve your job skills marketability.

Hang in htere. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Reply:http://web.tickle.com/ This is a website that offers a lot of personality tests including career tests. If you can't decide on your own what you would be interested in, take a test and see what the results might be.....good luck.
Reply:There are companies that hire people to make telemarketing call from their own homes. You get paid by the call and you have to make a lot of calls everyday to make any kind of money, but at least its easy. Sorry, but I don't have any links.
Reply:Look into getting an education.

Reply:Why not try being a writer?

P.S. Don't tell people you were a telemarketer, they won't have sympathy for you, even though you were just doing your job
