Jobs that Americans wont do..... Bull$#!t?

When we were younger we did all of those jobs, construction, dishwashing, hotel service etc. and we worked with all American kids who were working their way through school, those jobs were stepping stones to career jobs. if we try to send our kids to do those jobs now they would be the minority in a non english speaking environment in their own country.





And before you ***** about the cost of hiring Americans, go to "In %26amp; Out Burger" one of the last fast food joints that have all american kids serving the best buger in town at the best price.

Reply:i read a story not to long ago.. Ice raided a beef packing plant.. and arrested near 30 people here without citizenship or green cards.. when the gov deported them and finded the company. they..( the company) raised the pay $3.00 an hour and had all Legal./ Americans take the jobs..

Reply:I hate going to fast food places and the employees can't speak English. They are yacking to each other, in Spanish. I went to two different places recently. One, the employee distinctly said "20" but she was trying to say "12." The other one called out the number of my order and I couldn't understand her. That's not right!





When we were at Walt Disney World my husband ordered a low fat milk and a sugar free brownie. The "non-English" person slammed the brownie on the tray, without the milk, and considered himself done. When we asked for the low fat milk, he put regular milk on the tray and looked mad because he was being bothered. We corrected him on the type of milk and he was pissed AT US! They shouldn't put non-English speaking people on the front lines when most of the people they are serving only speak English. At WDW they are unionized so they had to put this rude idiot on the front line. They knew he was a problem but could do nothing about it!





There are lots of jobs that Americans WILL do. It makes me mad that they don't get to do the jobs.

Reply:My first job was cleaning a school. We cleaned the classrooms and bathrooms. I didn't like cleaning bathrooms but the following summer got a better job in the library. My friend did clean up work at a restaurant.

I still do those jobs and I don't complain about it. I know many Americans who do. Several have 2 of "those" jobs to support their families. We don't need the aliens to do jobs that Americans are willing to do!

Reply:There ARE jobs that American youth can't and won't do such as migrant harvesting. The money is below minimum wage, requires you to move every few days and the jobs don't provide housing except for tents or shacks. It is a most difficult way to live.





I think most harvesting of our vegetables and fruits are done my migrants workers. Actually, I tried it once for just a week before the group moved to another place...its hard back breaking work and very little pay. If I didn't have my own money to pay for a week in an American Youth Hostel for more than my income, I would have been very miserable. As it was, I had the opportunity to meet many immigrant migrant workers and it was very interesting. I couldn't make a life of it. Believe me, there are harder, lower paying jobs out there besides flipping burgers. You're not familiar with them because you've never worked the jobs.

Reply:You're right, who do these people think did the work before this illegal alien invading infestation? They can't say the slaves because that ended a century ago. And for those of you who claim younger kids wouldn't do certain jobs - that's a load of bs. I've baled hay, mowed the lawn, mopped floors, cleaned toilets, shoveled horse manure, moved handlines, etc. I don't mind doing my own hands on work.
Reply:I share your frustration. In Canada, we do not have the influx of illegals that you have, but like the US thanks to "Nafta" all the middle income jobs are being sent to Mexico and Asia. Like you, we did those jobs as they were usually a step towards better employment. That is no longer true in either of our countries.

Mexicans have been planting and picking our crops, working in slaughter-houses, cleaning toilets and other "coolie" jobs for 100 years. The reason being that Americans won't do those jobs...





If "kids" were so willing to do these jobs, why is Colorado and Nevada having to use prison labor to work the fields.... No young people in Colorado????





No. We have raised several generations of do-nothings who would rather lay around and watch TV, sleep til noon and raise he11 than actually work.
Reply:Besides the fact that this fits more into the mold of tirade than question, you failed to list several jobs that Americans avoid at all costs. Sandblasting tends to be avoided, especially in junkyards. Field work; planting, weeding, and picking, have a very low percentage of American Workers. Work in cleaning plants and other industries where air conditioning tends to defeat the purpose of the plant or does not prove cost effective, tends to be avoided by Americans. Non-Union construction work and construction work in right to work states, tends to be avoided by Americans at least at the entry level. Sanitation work and non union custodial work tends to be avoided by Americans. There must be a reason why they raided all those super center stores like Wal-Mart and extracted illegal aliens as well. It can't be because they were keeping jobs away from Americans. Don't forget your meat packing and processing plants. They also tend to be populated by workers other than Americans. While you are at it, peek into the warehouse jobs. You have not made your case, you have not asked a question, and you have offered up a forum where your case can be shot down at will. I really don't think this serves your purpose.
