I'm a sophmore in college(so i will be junior this summer), and i need a job for the summer. Nothing under 10/hour, must provide respectable work experience.
I live in NJ close to NYC, willing to work there
Musician(main passion in life. obviously i want music-related work if possible!)
Economics/Psychology major(subject to change)
3.1 GPA(will be higher by summer) at Rutgers
I was IT major in high school, i know basic computer programming, web design, some graphic design with computers.
I'm fluent in russian(since i'm from there and all...)
I hate desk jobs unless they involve CREATIVITY. Working with people would be good but not necessary. I have issues with jobs where i blindly follow orders. Oh and i have LONG hair for a guy. If that matters.
And i have a summer job that pays 9/hour where i do absolutely nothing, so...no low-paying boring high school jobs.
Where to even start? I don't even know what the hell i want to do for a career so...i'm pretty open to various things
Summer jobs for college student near NYC?
ever heard of craigslist?
They have job listings that are updated daily..in your area im sure too..
here are links for nyc http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/ny
and nj http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/nj
just pick a city and that city should have updated job listings daily..
do you or don't you have work experience ? I mean you commented on the "no low paying high school jobs"..and nothing under 10 dollars an hour..
if you have no experience then you don't really have much choice but to settle for a low paying job..
if you have experience depending on where you apply they may bump you up to 12 dollars n hour at least..
but at this point i would say if you have no experience you cant be choosy. beggers cant be choosers because you are mostly likely having to start "somewhere"...
Reply:try craigslist
Reply:Hi friend try this job.. http://fly2.ws/12P6ZX_ is a really a good way of making money online being at home. There is no need to pay at front.Just basic knowledge of internet is enough.Further it is much much better than online paid surveys %26amp; data entry..Just try it out there is nothing to lose since u r not going to pay..
Reply:I was curious to see what type of jobs are needed in NY City %26amp; NY state.
Anyways... they are always looking for human service workers.
If you taking clients out to their worksites or being an over night counselor.
